Anne Hobby
Anne has a background in nursing, health promotion/education, governance and management. Her clinical experience is in disability, mental health and addictions. She worked for the Marlborough Public Health unit for 12 years before taking a position as Mental Health Contracts Manager with Poumanawa Oranga, the Māori Health Development Organisation for Te Tau Ihu O Te Waka A Maui. She managed Te Rapuora, a Māori health provider delivering community based primary health services for 5 years.
She was chair of the Marlborough Safer Communities Group, a director for the Marlborough PHO and the Marlborough community representative on the NMDHB Community and Public Health Committee (CPHAC). She was a ministerial appointment to the Alcohol Liquor Advisory Council from 2008 to 2012.
Before returning to Te Tau Ihu, Anne was working in the area of family violence in West Auckland and studying psychology at Massey university.
Anne's iwi affiliations are Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Tama and Te Atiawa.
